I started my career early at Pittsburgh Brashear High School through the Computer Science magnet program. Here, I learned Adobe Photoshop, Alice, Java, and HTML. I studied Digital Media Production at Slippery Rock University, where I started my time with Responsival as an intern. Post-grad, I freelanced with Responsival as a Social Specialist before going to North American Dental Group as a Recruitment Marketing Coordinator. Missing design, I moved to Responsival full-time for a year and eight months before joining Dick's Sporting Goods as a UI Designer.
I guide my students through the UX process with a redesign case study project for the client of their choice. I have curated the syllabus each semester to cater to the learning desires of the students and adapt to class sizes. Relevant topics include:
Client Discovery & Competitor Research
Persona Planning & User Research
Brand Identity & Style Guide Creation
Information Architecture
User Journey & Site Mapping
Low & High Fidelity Wireframing
